After carefully reading other purchasers’ reviews, I decided to order this table runner. I’m very glad that I did. It’s pretty and festive, and not at all gaudy. I’m sure it’s just made out of some sort of plastic/vinyl material, and I know that’s terrible for the environment, but I don’t have a lot of money to play with, and I wanted to have something running down the center of the table that would be festive and attractive but not distracting from everything else that was going to be placed on the table with it. It’s worked out very well. The design is pretty, and it’s more of a winter design then any sort of specific holiday design, so I’m planning to leave it out for at least the next few weeks so I can continue to enjoy it. And my guests have commented on how attractive it is, too. It’s also easy to wipe down with a damp cloth to clean it. I wouldn’t recommend using any sort of harsh cleaning chemicals on it, because I don’t want to take any chances of ruining the design. It arrived folded and had wrinkles along the fold lines, but I was able to remedy that by simply unfolding it and then rolling it up like a roll of wrapping paper and leaving it in that state for a few weeks until it was time for me to put it to use. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that, when I unrolled it to put it to use, there was just the tiniest trace of wrinkles left in one area, but I can only see that when I was closely scrutinizing it. Once it was on the table, it was perfect. And when I’m ready to put it away, I’m going to roll up again so it’ll be ready for next time. I would definitely recommend this item. Just know that it’s not going to be the fanciest thing available, but that when it’s doing its job, which is lying quietly on a table (I personally don’t expect it to have any other skills), it looks nice, and, let’s be real, generally people are not sitting together at a table all just staring down at the table runner. It’s not being used as a centerpiece, it’s just part of the decor, and it’ll probably blend in with whatever other decor you might choose to display with it. Happy holidays to all!
